Quality Control Coordinator

Job Description

REPORTS TO:  Sr. Quality Engineer


 


JOB OVERVIEW:  As Quality (QC) Coordinator you will be responsible for measuring, analysis, maintenance, preparation and support of audits, assist with customer complaints and corrective action, ensure and set best practices for quality department, participation in CI efforts and back up for Quality Manager as needed.


 


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:


 



  • Conduct all the QC batch record reviews daily.

  • Responsible for knowing Amcor's systems, policies, procedures and measuring methods

  • Handle customer complaints tactfully and provide professional responses.

  • Oversee root cause and corrective action process. Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and corresponded to customers' expectations and ensure completion and effectiveness.

  • Responsible for ensuring the quality system and associated processes are compliant with appropriate national and international standards.

  • Responsible for maintaining quality records for chosen ISO Standards.

  • Review customer specifications for capability resolve issues, determine manufacturability & translate into Amcor terminology in AS400.

  • Monitor and recommend improvements to critical inputs into the processes.

  • Conduct internal and supplier audits as needed. Prepare for and assist with customer audits.

  • Coordinate, administer, file records and review equipment calibrations. Organize and file complaints.

  • Ensure the smooth working of the quality control: equipment maintenance and service contracts.

  • Determine/capture best QC/QA practices; Own & Operate the Documentation Control System.

  • Provide support to all levels of employees in understanding and effectively using the quality system (QS).

  • Analyze QA and/or other data for trends and issue reports, as needed. Use various statistical analyses to solve business/quality problems.

  • Coach Operations staff to ensure understanding/compliance with customer expectations

  • Participate in continuous improvement projects as needed.

  • Perform other duties in the QA department and back-up for the Quality Manager as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS


 


Knowledge and Experience



  • 1+ year of experience in a comparable position, specifically analyzing problems and resolving customer issues, in a regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Possess knowledge & good documentation understanding of quality systems QS , ISO, flexible packaging, medical device and pharmaceutical (FDA, cGMP) requirements

  • Knowledge of problem solving techniques, continuous improvement tools and methodologies (such as Lean and/or Six Sigma)

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Minitab, familiar with AS400 and KMS


 


Education and Certifications



  • 2-4 year college degree in Science, Engineering or other technical field or equivalent

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
