Description:
The North America Business Development Manager will generate and deploy new marketing strategies across North America to develop new market segments for the suppression business. As BDM, you will engage non-traditional segments to develop a deep understanding of business and competitive market drivers and their influence on customer needs --- becoming a subject matter expert in the segment. 1. Market Engagement --- Develop and maintain relationships with key end-users, and participate in trade associations and industry events to develop a thorough knowledge of segment drivers and customer needs. 2. Market Messaging --- Apply market knowledge to create value propositions and marketing messages relevant to key end-users. This includes researching, writing, and creating dynamic external communications as well as coordinating the participation in key vertical segment industry associations, trade shows and events. 3. Thought Leadership --- Promote Business Unit strategies and value propositions by authoring articles for placement in industry trade publications, and by securing speaking engagements at regional and national conferences and webinars. 4. Sales Excellence --- Locate new business opportunities for the BU, generate sales leads in new segments and promote the fire suppression line to nontraditional market segments. Propose pricing and product strategies to capture these nontraditional segments5. Sales Execution -- Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.- he ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor---s degree in an engineering or marketing related discipline. An MBA and/or experience in a technical sales or technical marketing role is required.BA/BS degree with 6-10 years experienceMA/MS degree with 4-7 years experience- - Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to pull complex data from assorted sources and synthesize in both graphic and verbal format, such that it is easily understood by internal and external audiences- Experience working in, and relationships with customers and projects in strategic segments- Working knowledge of segment trends, drivers, industry groups and key customer decision maker business roles- Demonstrated ability to derive strategies from segment knowledge, and to create value propositions and messaging that are relevant to end users, and design and construction team members- Broad range of experience, including product management, product marketing, and/or sales- Effective customer interaction and relationship management- Strong knowledge of Business Unit product lines- Excellent writing and communication skills and strong public speaking experience - Excellent project management skills with demonstrated execution - Advanced level skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)- Proven ability to influence and work effectively across all levels of the organization.- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities.- Suppression industry experience highly desirable

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
