Mechanical Assembler - 1st ShiftJoin a fast-growing company! A manufacturer of fire safety products is looking to hire someone with great testing and assembly skills in order to fill their Manufacturing Operator position in Ashland, MA as a temp to hire basis.

$20/HRResponsibilities of the Mechanical Assembler:
Work from route sheets, blueprints, verbal instructions, manufacturing or other engineering specifications, to perform the required operations paying close attention to quality standards in appearance and function.
Use standard equipment and hand tools such as screwdrivers, hammers, cutter, formers, riveters, test and calibration equipment, wrenches and various other hand tools to perform required operations.
May use specialized tools or perform more accurate fitting or adjusting on very intricate assemblies.
Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to the lead person or supervisor.
Maintain necessary records.
Move materials as necessary in performance of duties.
Maintain work area and equipment in clean, safe, and orderly condition.
Perform any one of a variety of small bench and/or precision electro-mechanical assembly, machine operations, as assigned, in the production of a wide range of products, such as fire suppression panels and other miscellaneous assemblies.
Qualifications of the Mechanical Assembler:
HS diploma or GED from an accredited institution1
year of assembler/manufacturing experienceAbility to read and interpret detailed instructions and proceduresBasic mathematical skills.
Authorized to work in the US without Company sponsorship.
Able to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
with reasonable accommodation.
Incumbent must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
